Re: Spring here
Khan saheb can you attempt to ID the pink rose and purple rose. Both fragrant and I got them from Pattoki. I have put my guess under the pictures. Thanks.

Re: Spring here
Dr sb i think its Bewitched.solid pink blooms with plenty of petal count plus strong fragrance.its plant is very tall, with rich green foliage.what i like about this rose is its disease resistance.it establishes very rapid.if all these qualities then its bewitched.the local nursery men call it Kadino.its very popular in cut flower industry.another quality which i like it does not change its color.the color does not even fade in the end of the spring.

Re: Spring here
Dr sb actually roses are hybridised so much some varieties have very slight difference like look at the new variety from Meilland CHERRIE PERFAIT.it looks just like your double delight.Bewitched,Perfume delight,Century two or even the pink peace looks like the same.there growing habits are also same tall vigorous plants.they can even reach 6 ft if not pruned.Queen Elizbath also grows very tall.look ate the perfect moment, all gold or rio samba.

Re: Spring here
Yes you are right. There are just thousands of roses out there. However, only a few dozen have really made their mark. I also got Cherry Parfait but I think all it's flowers will be quite similar while the variation in double delight is quite surprising at times.

Re: Spring here
Tulip Lady Jane is a better version of what you see on Islamabad hills. Will these bulbs bloom the next year?

Re: Spring here
Lady Jane, Tubergens Gem, Chrysantha etc tulips are warm climate. I think they should do well next year. The other tulips have almost dried up and these are still blooming in the heat. I plan to chill them later this year before replanting. Let's see what happens. I will do more research on them before I chill. I hope they multiply, dozens of these will look so nice in the bed.
