Nothing too interesting but here are some portulaca and another Crinum powellii. The crinum is just performing super despite the heat and full direct sun. I think Crinums are under utilized in Pakistan. I'm definitely looking into more varieties. These were planted as bulbs in the fall and grew through the winter without any leaf yellowing and still going strong. Beautiful foliage too.

Why graft a Pulmeria? To my mind all pulmerias cuttings root easily,or am I wrong? My red ones have little fragrance. Is its fragrance as strong as that of the round tipped leaf White?

I myself was surprised. I think it might be an attempt to keep it small and well branched suited to pot. It might just be that they wanted several plants quickly and it was cost effective to graft smaller hard to root cuttings. Though I have not smelt the white one but I can say this one is very fragrant. Khabbab was there maybe he can compare.

I didn't sow then too deep. Just an inch or maybe slightly more. I got 20 bulbs but less than half have sprouted so far. I think it might be a good idea to keep them moist but not wet in this heat. I have started watering more now, every other day.

Ahmed caladiums need FULL SHADE. I think that might be our problem. Bright indirect light would be ok but direct sun is too much.
