Izhar wrote:i used most of the saved seeds from last year spring blooms or volunteer seedling growing here and there.. including Ageratum Hi Tide blue, Phlox, French marigold Bonanza, Gaillardia, zinnias, nicotina, larkspurs, amaranthus, gompherina, salvia st john's fire, nasturtiums etc

Seedlings i bought this season are: Petunia Aladdin orange (it has started blooming, color is not orange but a shade of salmon), Phlox Century mix (it has also started blooming, compact plants and some colors are excellent), Coleus Kong mix (growing very slowly)

I am inclined towards roses this time..
I got one sunflower plant bloom two months back but it started to die suddenly it truns black then deed i dun know the reason kindly explain me how to grow sunflowers in lawn?

@izhar......its strange to see zinnias blooming earlier than larkspur(for northern area climate especially).

Or it could mean that temperature are on the higher side and larkpur might not be able to grow to its fuller height. Do share the progress.
