By the term "Garden grade soil" i meant the same... in Karachi we use Baalu matti for gardening purpose which is devoid of any nutrients compared to the nutrient rich Bhal of river or canal.. many of my relative who are/were settled in Lahore and Wah Cantt say that plants grow very easily there compared to Karachi.. the only complain was a short period of extreme weather in summers and winters both..
