Daylily from seed

Post by Izhar »

The seeds were sown in the end of 2010, one is producing a flower stalk... I have many others, which are all crosses of named parents but unfortunately I lost all the tags in 2011 monsoon:

All are progenies of semi-evergreen or evergreen parents... they grow year round, loose some leaves during the hottest months but overall nothing seems to stop them, completely pest free till yet..

Bravo, the plants are much healthier than mine of same age. What is your feeding routine?
Most aclamatised day lilies here bloom in/arround May when it is rather hot for them. Let us see how mine behave, they shoukd be flowering this year.

Ahmad, you need to hand pollinate them soon after they open.Pollinate them at 7:00 am and you'll have many seed pods.
