Sir regarding the rockery...
I got myself made one it was quite inexpensive....

Ingredients
1. Half bag of cement and a hundred odd red brick ( i collected them from here and there however market rate is Rs 6 each)(for the base)
2. dozen cacti, succulent and grasses type plants....(i buried entire pots in the mud)
3. Mud for filling
4. Red/black rocks i collected myself from a nearby mountain quarry.....

and rest was the labor which was not more than 1500.

I think it needs not to be grand......

Sirji excellent rockery and your own effort too, therefore, priceless. Unfortunately the rocks you gathered might be quite a price in the plains of Lahore.

Yes Izhar I think it is Terminalia mantaly. My friend put onw in his house and it seems to shedding most of it's leaves so I wondered if it was deciduous. If so it might be a good tree where you can plant plants which get sun in winter and shade in summer like gerberas and ofcourse it is very beautiful and symmentrical too.

Thank you I stand corrected, it is not Catappa .

Farhan, lovely rockry.
Hedges look good only if trimed flawlessly. I gave up hedges long ago, the effort was much more than the result. Now I aim at low maintenance gardening.
