I think the plant was larger as well as the flower. Could be the fact that they were in the ground for me last year but I don't remember that many whites if any in my last year crop.

Very beautiful garden as expected. Love the wisteria flowers. My asters which i took from Brig Sb flowered bi-color blue and white and yes they are surely shorter then the ones i saw at Doc amir's place last year. Flowers height is less as compared to their parents.

Spring 2013 was Mixture of disappointments and pleasure.
Bad news the prolonged cold killed my 5 year old African Tulip trees, Allamanda vines and extensive damage to Casia Nadosa, later high winds and rain snapped away my 15 feet high Tabebuia tree.
The nursery played his part and gave me opium Poppy for Ice Land poppy and Rananculus of local seeds, none of the Paneeries performed top my satisfaction except those sown by me.
The foolish MALI of mine did a lot of harm in good faith.
Coreopses, Corn flower and Rudbeckia and some other plants grew too tall to fit in the landscape, I had to pull them out, that is when he revealed that he had fed Urea to them while fertilising the lawn.
The good happening is that, the Amaryllis seedling crop has never been so good, every flower emerged so far is a keeper. The Daylilies are flourishing beyond my expectations; I may get the first flower tomorrow or day after.
Even the roses which have always disappointed me are doing reasonably well.

Farhan now you know why to me creating a show of annuals is a hard task.
This Sunday I visited garden of DIG Tanweers Farm house. It was a superb display of annuals, basically Petunia, Pense and renanculus while Salwia and Holyhock outside of wall. There I saw a Malaleucain bloom, had I seen it earlier I would not have purchased it and never at that price.

Sir indeed the climate is changing significantly in North and Center.

Melaleuca appears to be an interesting plant though.

Sir Believe me i myself will not venture again into landscaping with only annuals :-).......it was a tiresome, backbreaking, rain struck journey with cherry on top my nature for everything to be absolutely right. The most difficult thing has been to keep early blooming plants alive till the last annual has bloomed. This means deadheading and deadheading.

However Allah has helped me and i had some beginners luck.Insha Allah i will not disappoint you. I think my age of gardening with annuals is passing too..LOL.

I myself am a perennial gardener mostly. However, some annuals needs to be in the mix to keep things bright.
