Re: Lilium 2013
I am totally disappointed with the Lillium.
Their natural time to bloom in Lahore is 3rd-4th week of May and it is so hot and dry that the flowers don’t get a chance to bloom properly.
Winter blooms of imported bulbs
Seasonal blooms
!st blooms May the 3rd
Blooming on May 28th
If by chilling I am not able to get them to bloom in winter then I will have only two options. Use them as annuals (expensive), or just forget them.

The flowers are withered, faded and last only for a day or two.
If a flower does not look happy, how can it make me happy.

Sir i would say that we should not grow plants that are not well suited to our climate.. Daylilies are a better option and you should invest more in them.Muhammad Arif Khan wrote:Three stems of lilium of 2011died, on opening the pot I found the bulbs have reduced to about one inch in diameter, I am disappointed.

I agree. What is the use when the results are not commensurate with the effort, time & the long wait.
