The bulb i received did not had much roots i placed it in shade to avoid stress.

These days sunlight is very beneficial and would suggest placing it an site where it gets maximum sunlight and fertilization as such is not necessary and should only be applied during active growth period. Ornithogalum longibracteatum being a hardy bulb is also known as Pregnant onion (NOT edible) and once it gets going it keeps on producing new bulbs offshoots.

Tahir, can you please post a picture to enable me to compare with mine? My plant also remained in complete shade till shifted to partial shade 2 weeks back.
