Re: Looking for mango exchange
Hello,
I would like to have your opinion concerning the Pakistanese post service.
In my side, this is probably the most unefficient service I have never saw.
I found a really good and serious nursery in Pakistan with which we organized since march a way to prepare and send around 80 scions of Pakistanese mangoes varieties (Langra, Chaunsa, Dosehri and Saharmi).
They sent them through EMS. They wraped them in parafilm packaged them and dispatched them in the post office on 9th of July, on 14th of July it was written on the website that the parcel left Pakistan, as on 20th I didn't see it in the Greek post tracking webiste, I called the nursery in Pakistan and they tried to ask the Pakistanese post office which told them that the parcel had left Pakistan, everyday we tried to have news (I also tried to send email, complaints through form online, phone call and never had any answers)....finally on 25th of July they updated the data and said in Pakistanese post tracking site that the parcel left Pakistan...this means that the parcel staid in the Pakistanese post office for 2 weeks without any considerations... but it is not finished, after that the Pakistanese post did an other mistake as it had send it to EU as a non priority parcel, this means that it is always the last to be considered and took again 2 weeks more to arrive, but not at home, in a Greek post center. There they called me to come...because it was smelling so bad. After 34 days (parcel sent by EMS, sould take around 1-2 weeks) all the material was totally rotten. It is a big shame for the Pakistanese post who doesn't consider the work of its clients and rob them. It was the same for a card I waited from Pakistan through another shipping and took 30 days to arrive.
I asked on Pakistanese friend in Switzerland who told me that he had exactly the same problem.
Personally I never saw that, jsut to give an example, some scions have been sent from India on 7th of August and I have received them today on 13th, less than one week later.
I am really disapointed as these varieties were so important for me. This is a shame for the Pakistanese post office which does not answer (the minimum of service), does not provide any details and finally does not give excuses... Finally I refused the parcel and it has be sent back to Pakistan.
Do you have had ever encountered the same problems?

Re: Looking for mango exchange
This was my initial concern. Yes Pakistan Post has a very slower service. You should have opted for private courier services such as DHL, Fed Ex etc. All i can offer is apologies on their behalf.Farhan Ahmed wrote:Good luck.........BTW how did he transport them to you.....alive?
