Annual monsoon cuttings exchange - Lahore
I am thinking of holding a get together for plants cuttings exchange during monsoon. It will be local of course, those in Karachi can arrange according to location and suitable time.
It is very simple, just some basic points:
1- In this thread, you will mention your have list (Cuttings you are willing to give to other gardener). You will also mention your want list (Cuttings you want from other gardener).
2- If you find your desired cutting offered by other member, PM him/her and discuss with him which cuttings he/she wants in return.
3- You will bring decided cuttings at the venue and share with the members you had decided to trade with.
4- Date/Time/Place not decided yet but hopefully soon after Eid i.e. Last week of August, Saturday or Sunday at some member's place (Can be in Lawrence gardens as well).
5- We can create an event in Facebook and ask members/gardeners to post their have and want-list there. This way we will attract many non-members to the forum.
I will get lots of cuttings from Lawrence gardens for free give away including some gardenias, Stephanotis (both simple and variegated), Ylang Ylang vine, Thunbergia varieties, Potato bush and many others.
Any tips/suggestions??

Well there must be some thing which you would love to have. Do post your have list in any case. I am also preparing my have and want list and will post soon. Remember there are lot of members who are willing to share cuttings but are hesitant and waiting till few members show their cuttings here.AhmadIrfan wrote:Definately looking forward to it khabbab but creating a list of wants is very hard since I don't know to many plants so I dont know what I want till I see it.

BTW those living in other cities can also trade cuttings among each other by using this thread. Show your generosity

I would love to be part of such an exchange, only I don't live full-time in Lahore any more so don't have the wherewithal to contribute cuttings. Here's a little something I found while looking for monsoon flower ideas online: http://www.arvindguptatoys.com/arvindgu ... onsoon.pdf
