Farhan a story for you,
Year before last I had a pot of Amaryllis single bulb with two scapes, each having six flowers all blooming at the same time, my nephew liked it so much that I gave it to him. This season I wanted to see its performance, on inquiry I found that his Mali told him it flowers only once and ..... it is gone.
Now I have decided NOT TO GIVE AWAY any bulbs to any one. I would now be only exchanging and gifting only seeds.

Very right Sir, same thing happens to me when i give gifts of plants and seeds to people... they say ' Kharab ho jae ga tou tmhari nursery se aur ly jain gy '... i get disappointed at such words and then when such things happen that they destroy the plant after i had taken care of it for year or 2 i never give anything to them and say ' Bahar nursery hai wahan se khreed len mery pas khatm ho gae hain ' :|

Generosity is very precious... I agree with all the members, we have also took up the initiative to familiarize people with gardening with the help of this forum, the seed bank and all but still ignorance will still prevail among people who do not praise gardening or horticulture activities for they do not know.. they are naive that there very existence and sustenance is credited to plant life... they provide us food, oxygen, helps in erosion control, balance the biosphere and many more things that we do not even comprehend yet. People will remain the same through ages all we can do is pray that all goes well and we will keep putting our part as we will always be indebted to nature and ALLAH.
