Free Kiwi Fruit Vine for Anyone Living in Zone 8 or 9

I have 2 Kiwi Fruit vines (1 year old) that I imported from Ireland.These vines are unique in a way that they are self fertile and you donot have to plant 4 plants together for them to set fruits.This is their first season here in Pakistan so I'd like to keep one here and gift the other one to someone who is living in a cooler zone where temps donot rise above 38C.

This plant will set fruits after two more years.Around 60-90lb fruit per vine is expected.You need to provide this plenty of room as this vine will grow upto 20-30 feet and may take over your home :0)

Will it survive and fruit in Lahore?

I ve two plants.I'd like to try one in Lahore to see if they survive summer heat of Lahore or not.The other one, I'd like to be on the safer side and send it to someone at a place where it doesn't get too hot in the summer.These plants travelled along way to Pakistan so I have special attachment.

I live in Mansehra and temperature here is maxed at 35,36 C. So if you would I am interested to have yhe other one you said.

Regret you are late.It's going to someone living in Murree.I have planted other one in the soil and it's doing well even in 46C.Hopefully will be able to propogate in august/september thru cuttings or layering.

I'll buy kiwi fruits this week.Will save seeds for you although that they are the most delicious part of fruit.I did grow a few from seed last year.All died except one.It is a year old now and still going well this summer.This variety is not fertile as other two I have so you'll need to grow more so that you can have both male and female plants.
