Re: Blooms
Yes I have some in pots coz I wasnt able to find any glass bottles this year these bottles were saved from last year so I planted them remaining bulbs in pots. Plant them in a shady area and they will keep coming back for u every year.
Will post pics of them when they start blooming.

Re: Blooms
I planted several tulips with success last year. The pictures should still Be there in the earlier threads from last Spring. I but them in a cardboard box and put the box into the fridge. I took them out after 8 weeks and planted them in the first week on January in full sun. All of them did spectacularly well as you can see in the pictures from last years thread. I think your 4 week chill needs to be longer. Remember in fridge NOT freezer.

Re: Blooms
Are your beautiful hyacinths from bulbs purchased locally or are they from last year? I heard no point in saving hyacinths since they do not bloom so well next year.

Re: Blooms
Sir your tulips are healthier than mine next year 8 weeks in the fridge I was afraid of them rotting so I took a risk in the ground
The ones I saved from glass bottles.last year are in the ground and yes the bloom does go smaller the next year but no point of wasting a beautiful flower. All the ones in the glass bottles are bought locally

Re: Blooms
So how many hyacinths sprouted from the ones you left in the ground last year? Please post pictures of their blooms for comparison.

Re: Blooms
I saved the ones from the glass bottles 3 out 7 sprouted coz in the glass bottles the bulbs looses almost 2/3 of its original size.
I had some.planted indoor under a glass window they kept.coming back for almost 5 years when I moved them.outside they died.
