A wild flower of Taxas USA, I thought it would be easy to grow in Lahore but has not been able to grow it to my satisfaction.

Its difficult to start with, smaller seeds(however very aggressive in germination), and then extremely slow growing seedlings and it appeared that they were stuck in first set of leaves for month, however as the weather got hotter they picked up the pace. However the good part is their heat tolerance. In this hot weather i haven't seen a flower which can last more than a day or two. The bloom is still going strong even after a week.

Hmm. Lisianthus has proven to be one plant that can really beat the heat. Most recommended for hot June.

No special requirements. Seeds are aggressive to germinate. I sowed in Fall and they bloomed now. Only thing is that seedling is very slow to grow for initial three months. Maybe sowing in warmer temperature would increase growth rate.
