AoA, Kaleem Sb, If I was to growhostas in Lahore without a green house, will I succeed,What would I have to do?

Hostas are not a green house plant, the concept of green house is to maintain the Tropical temperatures in winters.
It is a care free and easy to grow plant . Every garden has a deep shade and cool corner, this cool corner is the best place for Hostas. Good drainage is necessary for this plant and if Canadian peat moss available then its "SONAY PAY SOHAGA". I mix cow manure and dirt (bhal) half/half and never covered the drainage hole of the container with stone, just fill/cover it with the dry leave.
Next year, in February I will send you few corms of this plant and will see the results.

Its encouraging to know hostas can grown successfully in our climate? The challenge is to protect them from heat in may,June and July

Un Known Hosta

This unknown Hosta was received from UK six years ago, at that time it was just one week old. Its not a variegated variety. It has Green shiny leaves and flowers of this Hosta are awesome.

Kaleem sb few questions can you please Breakdown their life cycle, like dormant time, planting and flowering time and when they are dormant where to keep them in the pots or dig them up and secure them
