Plant neem trees... they have all the quality of a good tree, flowers attract bees, fruits are eaten by birds and squirrels, it provides excellent shade, once established it doesnt require any care but establishing takes place after 1 year of planting...
Plant conocarpous... they are very fast growing big shrubs rather than tree, they tolerate salt water easily, hence can be planted near coast, it gets established within 2-3 months of planting...
Ficus trees (Goolar, Peepal) are slow to grow and establish but good thing is that they support a lot of local fauna, they can be propagated by using a 10-15 feet long branch planted in good soil and watered daily..
Babul trees should also be considered they also provide food and shelter for native fauna, they tolerate drought very well, they establish quickly but grow only when there is water available..
Jaman trees are water loving trees but grow comparatively quickly...
