It is difficult to grow grass in low light conditions, thd different varieties of indoors like dracaena, araucaria, palms can serve to fill the place, grass area could be paved or some ground cover could be used but still it cannot replace the beauty of grass.

I would just like to add one thing.....from the pictures you have shared, it is evident that where ever there is grass it healthy, green and growing. Its just the matter of making it cover unfilled places. I think it won't be a problem. I am growing Dhaka grass in shade(No sunlight from Sep-Apr)......it goes dormant in these months...but maintains its posture through growth achieved in other months.

Do use the shrimp plant and Persian shield as Farhan mentioned. I have excellent experience with them. Persian shield should not be allowed to go dry.

If you have "deemak" ie termite problem in your area maybe that is partially or completely contributing to the dead patches in your lawn. A close up might help. However, consider Bayers Regent for this.
