Javed sb Florist Gerberas are very rear. Normally nurseries do not offer but if you request any good nursery they will bring it for you.Actually these plants are imported & expensive.But Double Florist Gerberas ah they are so rewarding. Rehmat watto brought some plants for me on my personal request. These florist doubles Gerberas are super class. Don,t go for seeds raised gerberas.

Munir sb its a nice Gerbera but its the single one.Doubles are also available but on specific request.Acttualy most nurseries don,t offer because the doubles are expensive plus limited stock is imported.

Quite right. I have found some plants at two nurseries;will pick up the doubles/selected colours when the flowers appear. Will share some with Jd also.

Imran sb you have excellent collection of Gerberas, few are really awesome. I am a big fan of this beauty but can't grow all species because of limited space. Last month, one of my plant died because there was a ant nest in the container. Ants are a big threat for my container plants. I am using mortin insect killer power to get rid of this creature but after few days they appear again. I am also waiting for the arrival news of baby plants so please also inform me when those will arrive.

Kaleem sb use Bayer Regent for ants & termites.They destroy lot of exotic plants.

Used coffee grounds work wonders and tend to deter ants also. They can be applied and mulced in the soil medium. These used coffee grounds can be obtained from Coffee shops like Gloria Jeans who after grinding the beans dump or throw them away in garbage cans and they can be requested for these used grounds since it is of no use of value to them.

or the method suggested above by Umar Khan can also be used.
