Izhar cross refers to cross pollination in which pollen of another cultivar or sometimes same cultivar is rubbed against the stigma of a chosen variety. if it's successful then seed pods develop from where black seeds are obtained. It takes around 3 years to forming new colours etc.

Thank you Brig Sahib. It's exciting when one is unaware of what will be the final outcome and its akin to painting a sketch not knowing how the final sketch will turn out to be.

Also Brig Sahib now i have more than sixty/seventy pots of Amaryllis and i have decided to stop buying any further amaryllis as keeping track of it becomes difficult along with other varieties. Foreign companies that offer newer varieties of Amaryllis hoodwink customers by offering them similar products having different names like e.g "H.Benfica" vs "H.Carmen" in which the difference in terms of colour is almost negligible. "Benfica" is on the right and "Carmen" on the left.

I have been away from this forum and have been more active on Muhammad Kaleem's group on facebook "Glowing Gardens." The major reason for not posting here in this forum is the significant time consumed in uploading the image in another site and then reposting it over here.

I have decided to provide the links on the facebook page whereby the the members simply need to click on the link to take these to the site and all one needs to access the images is to have a facebook account which majority of the members have.

As a trial here a link having the picture of H. Hercules with H. Rilona and H.Exposure together. Though the size of Rilona's flower is considered big but the size of Hercules is undoubtedly the biggest i have seen among all Amaryllis cultivars even bigger than H.Mont Blanc size. Would appreciate to have the input whether the images are accessible on the links.

Here the first link of H.Hercules with H.Rilona & H.Evergreen.
