Hoya

Post by mikhurram »

Compared to Orchids which require shade protection during our hot summers and protection against cold during the winter months, Hoya's are relatively easier to manage. An year ago i was given a Hoya by Sarmad Sahib. Despite my neglect and without any care or fertlization my Hoya has started to bloom.

The first picture is from Sarmad Sahib's collection and this bloom can be achieved if the Hoya is fertilized properly either through foliar spray or by giving it slow release fertlizer. The 2nd and 3rd photos are of the same Hoya currently staging a bloom

I tried once but died in winter season, so I changed my plane to try again. You have healthy vine with lovely blooms.
