Nice pictures Mustansir, Rafique sb, and Hamad bhai. I think Mustansir's bird is a male koyal. Is it correct?

Do we still have fireflies (jugnoo) in Lahore? I was mesmerized to see them at night and this was in the early 90s. I never saw a single firefly in Karachi.

There are fireflies in suburbs of Karachi... mostly seen during monsoon..

Izhar bhai you must be lucky, never got a chance to see them. They look so beautiful.

I miss fireflies here ................

I remember in Lahore and PIndi there are two light emitting colors for Fireflies "Yellow" and "white". we used to catch them and put them in a jar .... old memories ....

Yes Fireflies are often seen after rain in nurseries or areas where there are natural vegetation growing.

Do not know about male or female but It was sitting on Karipata tree in the garden of the house.
