Hullo Asim ,
You show images of container gardening / growing only - do you have access to ground also.

I have been growing cherry tomatoes in containers and ground in Karachi for the past 2 years and they
do well down here and there are hardly any problems except they require a lot of water, which of course is in short supply in Karachi - thanks to the tanker Mafia.

From your images it may be helpful to add more compost and maybe even some coco peat to your soil mix. This will help retain moisture which is essential for tomatoes. Additionally, they will require regular feeding with a high potassium fertilizer ( specially if grown in containers )

I will post some images in the next few weeks about my efforts with cherry tomatoes assuming I can get a good crop this year though so far the plants are doing good.

If interested try growing these - easy and tasty - Rocket , Radish , Lettuce , Pak Choi , etc.

Regards
Couch Potato

Nice vegetables. I also received a couple of cherry tomato pots yesterday. Will plant them in ground near a wooden railing.

How can I safe my "broccoli" from sparrows?
It's very difficult to handle birds.

Great job asim sb, enjoy the sweet harvests.. few tips!

1. Move the containers away from direct sunlight to stop bud drop.

2. Mist the plants daily to create humid condition which helps pollination.

3. Give a daily shake to the whole plant or the flower truss which aids in fruit set.

Tahir Bhai my experience regarding tomatoes was totally different. Other than containers draining quickly in full sun, is their any other consideration for moving tomatoes away from sun??
Secondly, i experienced water touching the foliage made them susceptible to fungus diseases. Would misting have same consequence?
