In Gardening Pakistan, General Discussion "Bulbs, Corm, Rhizomes and Tubers" panel, where Syed Adnan discussion with Hammad as below. I interfere in this discussion because I have Unexpected Gladiolus Bulbs in a small little pot after facing Hot Summer Weather of May to June where Day Temperature will be 42 C and Night temperature will be 35 C and after that Humid atmosphere of July to September where Day Temperature will be 38 C and night temperature will be 30.

Dear Syed Adnan says

Some bulbs even those that go dormant will bloom at the right time year after year if left in the ground.
Many bulbs/corms must be lifted and properly stored for replanting at the right time.
There are others which require pre-chilling for desired results.
Following is the best example.

Image

Lilium in bloom were lifted on dormancy stored in a chiller and planted on fist of November and they bloomed in March.
Pots in the fore ground; the bulbs were left undisturbed in the pots, they bloomed in May when it was too hot. The blooms were faded and flowers short lived.

I planted these glads last year in winter on rooftop. After they finished blooming in March i forgot them. I thought they will not come back. They remained on the roof, no green net. I did not water at all, not even once, only rain water. Just saw them sprouting back few weeks ago. These are the ones imported by Pride seeds last year.

Should i expect same healthy blooms as last year?

You have lost a few as I can see in pot.

The plant which bloom last year can bloom again (need some liq fertilizer to help them as you cannot disturb the soil now)

next time before forgetting a glad just pass it to me.

by the way can i see last year photos of these glads ?
