now a days suddenly attack of this bug is very promminent on my plants.i havnt seen this before and i am 100 % sure it is not mealy bug because..
1.mealy bug starts its journey in january from small brown nymphs and gradually changes into while bug but this one suddenly appears on plant.
2.mealy bug is a walking bug but it stays at same point.
3.it don't produce honeydew like mealy bugs.
4.mealy bugs dyes in may after completing their life cycle but these are not disappearing.
so please identify it ...

I had these same bugs too. And were easily gone with pesticide. If it is not mealy bug then whom I have discarded? All the things you have said appeared same for me and Now they are again taking their hold over plants.

Its Mealy bug in my opinion.

May be you can isolate few bugs from this clump and look carefully in terms of its morphology esp. the tails. It is indeed some species of mealybugs.

Very nice simple tests are described below including poking the bug without puncturing it and seeing the colour of the liquid it extrudes as a defense mechanism :-)

Dear all,
It is definitely mealy bug and in its active feeding stage. Means, damaging at its peak.
Fir its chemical control use one of the following products;
1) Imidacloprid 25% WP @2-3gm/ltr water or Imidacloprid 20%SL @2-3ml/ltr water
2) Acetamiprid 20%sp or SL @ 2ml/ltr water

Spray evenly on all plants, especially spray on attacked parts in such a way to wash the white mealy powder of these bugs.
In a few days (2-3) these bugs will die but may remain stuck with branches.
Also try to cut the affected branches and burry deep in soil by wraping in plastic bags.

Yes Zeeshan you are right its Mealy bug a nonsense in the garden. I use Acetamprid & also add some cooking oil into it. Zeeshan Aceta controls it better Imida never works against this bug.
This bug has some thing like white wax the oil disolves it.

But Mealybugs are always followed by Ants...

no ants,no honey dew and when we kill a mealy bug yellow liquid is found inside but these are colorless when punctured.and below white powder their shell is black.they remain sticky no movement like mealy bugs,their size is also small compared to mealy bugs.are killed very easily with hand or straw.just white powder is similar with mealy bugs. perhaps they are any other species of mealy bugs another point mealy bugs change their shell (کینچلی) in their life cycle but this bug is not doing this job.

Hamad these in the picture are 100% Mealy bugs.Use acetameprid.They usually attack raat ki rani & Hibiscus.Zeeshan has identified them 100%.Mealy bugs are followed by ants in the early stage when they are small & brown in color.Spray as soon as possible.
