This is a first time flower emerging from one of my Brunsvigia radulosa bulbs. This is also a flower head similar to the Boophone the rolls about by the wind to disperse the seeds.
This photo indicates the longer scape and the flower head starting to open and show the flowers to be.

The bark is mixed throughout the growing medium. I tried to cross it with Amaryllis Belladonna but they did not take. I think the AB pollen was too old already because the flowers were going down already.
