I never buy plastic pots but my near and dear ones shower me with them and when ever I am not vigilent my FF male does it.

The damage afflicted on a garden by nadaan maali far exceeds than any known living being.

I had planted a new fruit tree (probably from Bangladesh), the next day it vanished. I was kept on looking for it, found it in the garbage. It turned out that maali sahab thought that is a wild NEEM tree. Height of over confidence!

Arif sb you must read "Naam Dev Maali" by Dr. Abdul Haq. A nice story of a Mali who sacrified his life for a garden he loved.

oh does plastic pots cause a difference? i was planning to buy them.. but now looking at this post i think i should but the mud ones :/

Best avoid plastic pots due to heat build up. The benefit is that there is less evaporation so less need for watering compared to clay pots.
