Re: sedum
Sedums wont survive the heat of Pakistan if grown as a border plant.
If you really want to use them as hedging plants try 'sedum nussbaumerianum' they can tolerate much heat

Re: sedum
I would personally recommend that you plant 'Euphorbia milii' Thai hybrids for borders, no fuss plant once established and will flower all year if your area is frost free.

Re: sedum
Though Sedum germinates easily from seeds but is susceptible to humidity prevalent in monsoon season and suffers from summer heat. The more heat tolerant Sedum varieties can be given a try.
Why don't you consider growing our local Kalanchoe available in shades of orange & red and also more heat tolerant.

Re: sedum
Ms Rabia, very few sedums are heat tolerant, they need semi-shaded spot to thrive. You can try 'sedum nussbaumerianum' it is one of the most heat tolerant variety i have grown yet. All my sedums died one by one but this one is still going good.rabia wrote:Can you plz name a few heat tolerant sedum varieties? And can we get sedum seeds from Pakistan ?
Seeds are not available in Pakistan, however, can be bought from foreign seed vendors.
Sedums available in Pakistan the ones i can identify with name are:
sedum rubrotinctum
sedum nussbaumerianum
sedum hispanicum var. minus
