AOA,
I was thinking of planting rangoon creeper and peteria volubilis for my lawn. I just bought small plants of both, and my mother said that this rangoon creeper wont bloom too much (something to do with leaves' colour and size). I have also seen some RC vines that have got like 10 flowers on them even in warm season. And there are those which keep on blooming profusely all year around. Some have large pink flowers only, others have small sized white and dark pink flowers. Fragrance also differs from cultivar to cultivar. I have seen some plants with hundreds of flowers without any fragrance at all. Then there are some that you can smell from 3-4 meters away. So how many varieties have you guys seen, specially those available in Karachi.
BTW I bought both plants from Shalimar Nursery near NIPA/Aziz bhatti park. The guy there told me its white/pink fragrant single variety.

I had Rangoon for a long time, as per my experience I have never heard of less blooming or any other type that has anything to do with blooming performance, as far as I know there are single flowering and double flowering vines, its flowering and fragrance has a very unique attitude, it flower in white colour during night time and this is the only time when you could feel the fragranc, during the day flowers turn into pink colour and lost the fragrance.
So this is how rangoon works and hard prunning and full sun could help you to get more blooms and usually rangoon bloom two to three times in one season.
I hope this may help you

I agree 100% & please do feed with liquid NPK in active growth to get max blooming power.

Irfan I have no experience of growing Rangoon in pot but if you want to grow then I will advise you to plant in biggest possible pot but still performance wise it will not match any Rangoon planted in soil/ground/bed, I have planted one Bougainvillea in pot and getting flowers but the pot is of the size of "Tandoor" means quite big massive to allow roots to expand.
try you may get flowers and it perform for you but the pot size is too small.

One of the fastest growing vines. The only problem is in autumn it looses all its leaves and dry shrub emerges. But most attractive blooms in season.

The only Quis Qualis (Rangoon) worth planting is the
Double one.
No pot is big enough for it to thrive in, Even in the biggest pot it will only survive not thrive.
I love the plant and has tried to grow it in various situation. I have found its roots spread over 35 feet from the stem.
It blooms profusely and day or night you cant miss its fragrance.

Propagated from root cuttings. If you can have it collected I can gift you one.
