Heat stress

Post by Muhammad Arif Khan »

The last few weeks hot spell has taken its toll It burnt the leaves of my 20 feet tall Budha trees, of both 10 & 15 feet tall Brachycome trees. Even the leaves of Amaryllis exposed to sun for few hours in the morning got burnt.

Sir, the leaves on my container planted Amaryllis are also burnt down to the bulb, totally obliterated. Also the bulbs feel a bit soft on the outside

I wonder if they will recover and grow again.

I use to place potted Amaryllis under tree shade these days & water daily as the pots dries rapidly. To reduce the heat stress i also feed with liquid Potash.

Potash( Potassium) is the third in NPK no.It increases the yields of fruits & vegies plus halps out the plant to fight against disease & drought. If lawn is fed with liqiud K it reduses the heat stress & make the grass turf drought resistant.Another thing sir Arif slow release fertilizer are more effective that the fast release release fertilizers foe grass.

What I asked was, what do you mean when you say LIQUID POTASH.
Most soluble potassium salt is Potassium Nitrate other in agre. use are SOP (Sulphate of Potash) and MOP Murate of Potash. No salt of potassium is in liquid form (to the best of my knowledge).
