Lemon OR Lime!!!

Asalam-O-Alikum & Hello,

Main nay nursery say plant kharida tha but confussion hai kay lemon tree hai ya lime tree. Kindly koi trick bata-ay ga kay akisay chack karon kay lemon tree hai ya lime tree.

Further, tree pay fruits main say kuch yeloow ho chukay hain or abhi tak mazbooti say lagay huway hain.

Some people differentiate lime and lemon by density. Lime floats in water and lemon sinks in water. Please post pictures of your plant and members can give a better advice.

By dictionary definition lime is Citrus medica, var. acida, smaller than the lemon and of a more acid taste; more explicitly sour lime.

The richness of Vitamin C makes both lemon and lime an invaluable part of our diet. British sailors were referred as 'limeys' because of the quantities of limes furnished them on shipboard to prevent scurvy, a disease caused by lack of Vitamin C.

I too was confused about this. I am yet to come across a lime plant here in Karachi.
