Kaleem sb would Hydrangea perform in ISL/RWL?Found nothing special but bought four Hydrangea plants
I m asking because I love this plant and would like to have in my collection.

No never. I have planted this shrub so many times at Islamabad/Mardan but always a failure. It perfomance at Abbotabad was superb. I raised some plants at Abbottabad from cuttings which started flowering in third year. May be the shrubs still standing there. Here it can not survive the summer heat. If in case survive it does not flower. Another factor is the Ph of our soil. Ph can be controlled but we can not fight with the climate.

I even tried it last year 2 shrubs at Islamabad & three at Mardan. Hydrangeas are easily available but do not perform. The nursery men prepare it at Murree & bring it down. Some nursery men import it with flowers. But my concept is different. I think its not gardening to bring ready made plants & place it on the patio.
