may I suggest you go to a good seed shop such as pride seeds,channan deen ,sunny view etc.Ask for the seasons seed catalogue.they will give you one for free.Bring it home.Study the flower list and corresponding photographs .Select ones you like.Go back get their seeds and plant these in pots.See the seeds sprout and transfer them to pots or beds.Water and feed them and see the flowers sprout and eventually bloom.I am sure you will find this activity both enjpyable and informative.And oh yes you will remember the flower names for a long time and will be able to discuss gardening with the gurus without embarrassment.Take this from somebody who was just like you a couple of years ago.

Actually I've never been to a nursery honestly. I always ask my husband by telling him a name or showing him a picture of the plant/ flower & he brings the paneeri or plant from the nurseries located on Raiwand road. As a result if there is some unknown plant, I never know the exact name & my thirst of curiosity increases. For example my husband brought Gerbera as he knew I'd like the flowers because of its colors. He told the Nursery man said it's "Galbala". Wo tou ALLAH k karam sai I came across Gerbera on the forum & I got the real name. So passed it to my hubby also.

The Nurseries you have told, where are they located?! Near Kalma Chowk?? I've heard that they sell the seed/ paneeris at a high price than usual.

These are seed shops not nurseries.Pride seed is located near hussain chowk gulberg.channan deen main market gulberg and sunny view near punjab squash racket courts old club road.This is the right time to plant seeds so go for it.Go to nurseries only if you r too lazy to plant or want something you have not planted yourself.Good luck and keep us posted of your progress
