I thought that it would because it also had pines on its leaves and leaf was like succulent. :)
Mustansir, most succulents don't have any spines apart from Agaves, Dyckias and some others :)

Cacti have very sharp spines that are quite dangerous.

Just remember this... All Cacti are Succulents but not all Succulents are Cacti.
