any ideas what plants these are .. i thought they were just green leaves but now they have green flowers and the other one seems to have white ones..

I think this is some kind of "philodendron" and spikes are its flowers

but Izhar can highlight better.

First picture: Chinese Evergreen (Aglaonema commutatum). The spike is flower of Aglaonema an inflorescence (a group of flowers on a stem) and is often mistaken for a distorted leaf.

and the second plant is probably Anthurium hookeri
