? Gmelina

Post by aykhan »

Bought seeds for the vine Gemlina phillipensis but now more than a year later I am certain this is not gmelina. Can anyone tell me what on earth this is so I can decide wether I should pull it out or not. Thanks.

I have grown this vine for many years. Right now it is blooming crazy in front of Haq nursery kalma chowk lahore. Also in muslim town canal bank.

Looking at leaves, it does not appear to be Gemlina phillipensis becuase leaves of Gemlina phillipensis have multiple corners. But sometimes the leaves differ with age (which happens commonly with passiflora too). From which source, you bought seeds?

The vine blooming at Haq nursery is
amazing! Have you checked with him if he has plants for sale. After seeing his I realized mine is not Gemlina. But then what on earth is it??? I do not remember the source but it must've been reputable.

To my untrained eye, the leaves resemble the common Pippal

Peepal leaves are glossy, highly pointed, and have gloss like a good quality satin paper.
