Blue FLowering Bush

Post by omerkhalid »

Hi All, well i found this bush with beautiful blue flowers in a nursery, i love the beautiful display of flowers in spring, the flowers continue to bloom for more than 2 weeks , the plant produce seeds which are easy to handle but i have not tried to germinate them, the cuttings however root very easily and i now have around 6 bushes growing in 14'' pots. i have tried to search for the name of this bush on the net and several plant encyclopedias but to no avail, please do let me know if anyone knows about it. I have seen this bush growing in couple of places in Lahore. The picture is not of good quality will try to upload a nice one in coming spring.

Indeed he has and the response can be termed as Blitzkreig or rapid action.

Initially i thought it was plumbago but somehow the shape of the flower and leaves seemed to be different than Plumbago.

thanks all respected members....i am glad that you appreciated my job.it is all due to gardening Pakistan and inspiration i got from senior members which are indeed experts in plant identification.i am a student in this field and gaining knowledge from forum and senior members. whwn i joined this forum a almost a year back i was searching for seedlings id and i was directed by Google at this forum on farhan bhai's thread of seedlings.then i was not even aware with common plants like verbena and geraniums...so due to my computer interest and forum i started my journey of plant identification...now it is my favorite hobby to identify plants...i am continuously visiting blogs about gardening on internet and they help me a lot..thanks a lot again for appreciating my job...

Hamad bhai, you have been flooded with reverence and praises. Now please share how do you start when you begin with an unknown flower esp. online searches? Then some of us can share personal approaches in finding out the plant names.
