Is it "ALAICHI"?

I m seeing this plant in my home for several years. Now I am turning into gardening. My mother is sure that it is "ALAICHI" plant. It is also dying. Is it disease as I caring it regularly. Any suggestion?

Also look the tubes of Elephant ear plant in the background I save it for future.

Rub the leaves between finger and thumb, if it smells like cardamom then it is.. otherwise not.....

Recently it is blooming with red long flowers, and becoming some sort of fruit now. tiny balls are emerging after flower.

it is not allaichi plant it is green canna

commonly people call it alaichi but its not its a seasonal flowering plant with numerous species
