Please identify this plant, the nursery guy told me it should fruit in 2 years in lahore, would it?

Look likes olive tree to me. Olive is famous for not fruiting quickly!

I agree. Mine hasn't grown fruit in over 4 years,though the tree is now 6-7 feet tall.

This year, I saw small olive trees being sold for the first time in Karachi but when I learnt that it takes about 15-30 years...I did not dare to buy it. The olive tree seems so awe inspiring and respectable because it is mentioned in the Quran so many times with so much reverence...

it is olive plant

you would need to plant more than one tree to bear fruit as both male and female plants are required for pollination. Self fertile varieties are not readily available in Pakistan but can be found if searched. keep in mind that small plants as shown in the picture would require at-least 8 years to bear fruit.
