[emoji17]no one? I actually bought 2 plants from a renowned nursery. The nursery guy said these are Desi lemons (summer bounty) it's been two years now and they haven't even blossomed. My mali says it's not lemon at all. I'm confused.

Nobody can recognize just from the leaves. This is certainly a Citrus. Why do you expect a tree to blossom in a pot? Don't throw throw away the tree. Transplant it in a sunny location and let it grow on its own in a location where you don't see it everyday. One fine day, you will see the lemons growing :-)

Thank you Farooq sahab for your positive reply. Especially the "plant it somewhere where you don't see it everyday" :) Two years back I planned on building a little patio and planting them there, but the plans got delayed. I'm starting on that patio from tomorrow inshallah and will be planting them on ground in a day or two. Thanks again.

Gardening is a game of patience.
When planting remember a 100 Rs. plant requires a 200 Rs pit.

Ma'am, there has been no update from you since May 2015-have you found its variety & has it stared bearing fruit ?
To add for information: Desi lemon is slow growing & late fruit bearing variety, rarely seen these days. I have read that growing it is banned by (Punjab) Govt , as it is more prone to disease & can spread it to other citrus trees.Chinese Lemon had replaced it but the disadvantage is that it
( Chinese) is available only in winters & not in summers. Lately,NARC has introduced a Mexican Variety, which they claim is summer fruiting.I have a 3 years old plant now in blossom/forming fruit; hopefully should be ready for harvesting in Jul.
