A friend asked for a few amaryllis bulbs, except the common red ones.
What is a common red Amaryllis?
I have a variety of red Hippeastrums including some I am trying to improve and would not give to anyone.
Which of the following would you call the common red?

















There are many more each having variation in shade or shape.

Izhar, Yes, it was the only Hippeastrum Known here twenty years ago. My post was a food for thought to create interest.
