I'm new to this forum. Yesterday i joined the defunct forum http://pakgardening.iforums.us and read so many useful information. I've thrown a question regarding "Murraya Exotica" to brother Khabbab and got immediate answer and link for this new forum.

I live in Khi and growing plants in pots, i am intrigued by the article "Top 25 fragnant perennials for Lahore".

I want to grow either Stephanotis floribunda, Murraya paniculata or Jasminum humile. I've known through Khabbab that Murraya paniculata is called marwa locally. I want to know about other two plants too. If i want to grow them in pots in Karachi which one of them will be more suited and what they are locally called. Are they available in Khi?

Ayub welcome to the forum, my friend grows Madagascar Jasmine (Stephanotis floribunda) in ground, but it blooms less... only 2 -3 times in a year. I have seeds of Dwarf Murraya paniculata (commonly known as Kamini here) if you want, this plant is a blooming and perfume manufacturing machine.

Agree with Izhar on that. Marwa blooms longer and has overpowering scent. Bees and butterflies love it too.

I had a 6 year old stephontis in an ideal location in the ground.It only produced a single flower every year.I replaced with vigna caracalla.

if it does not bloom then pronounce it kamini....
