Yes, all colocasia grow well in Karachi... I have been looking for this variety.. we can get this from USA..

Colocasias grow well in Lahore too. This is a real giant. Will require a lot of room.

Brig saheb I consider them shade plants in Lahore. I have a pretty large one probably about 5-6 feet and it is thriving these days in shade. I'd post a picture but currenly Im overseas. I've been looking for the black one with white veins but have not been able to find it in Lahore. I saw it in the pictures Izhar posted of the Karachi flower show.
