Sir in my view most climbers from David Austin, Tantau, Kordes, Meilland and other breeders will do well in Jhelum if protected from scorching heat from mid May to mid August during initial 2-3 years. After that, if watered well, they will thrive well even during summers though the size of bloom will drastically shrink and fragrance will almost disappear during these hot months.

I wish you luck with these roses, lady emma hamilton is not available in changa, rest all are there, infact i am writing this post to suggest that you make own root from benjamin britten. that is very successfull in lahores climate.

Umer sb thanks. I know most of these roses are available with Changa Nursery and I have tried them too. However, with newly grafted roses from Changa and most other nurseries in Pakistan, its a hardwork of 1.5 to 2 years to bring those 4-6 month old grafted plants (which are actually just infants) to a state where we can call them a stable bush. Yes if one could buy a 3 years old bush from Changa than I don't mind it.
