I have 9 different colors english roses and one plant of a desi rose.. all are planted in medium sized pots. i m facing issues with most of them, black spots on the leaves.. very little sized buds leading to a tiny roses.. also the leaves are twisting on few units.. Please help.. I water them daily in evening.

I also have roses in pots and now a days they are having black spot I am trying to control it with baking soda spray and preventing the use of any chemical.

Two weeks ago I visited Islamabad and was surprised to see quality of roses all around.
A friend has given me BEST ADVICE, FORGET ROSES. :idea:

Arif sb. Now I am thinking of that. Roses are surely a trouble. Roses are still so beautiful but It is very hard to care for them.

There's no doubt that the weather as well as the soil in our northern region is more favourable for roses. Even the size of rose flower grown in NWFP is bigger compared to Lahore etc. It's not just roses but even the taste of 'Red Blood Orange' grown in Sargodha pales in comparison to the taste of "Red Blood Orange' variety grown in Haripur, Dir localities. Definitely soil and weather play a crucial role.
