Bermuda "Mystery" Roses

This is a group of several dozen "found" roses grown in Bermuda for at least a century. The roses have significant value and interest for those growing roses in tropical and semi-tropical regions, since they are highly resistant to both nematode damage and the fungal diseases that plague rose culture in hot, humid areas. They are also capable of thriving in hot and humid weather. Most of these roses are thought to be Old Garden Rose cultivars that have otherwise dropped out of cultivation, or sports thereof. They are "mystery roses" because their "proper" historical names have been lost. Tradition dictates that they are named after the owner of the garden where they were rediscovered.

Bermuda climate is not very hot. Climatic data suggest max avg temperature of around 30 in hotter months. But yes its very humid. This implies that UV index will be low "but feel like temperature" would be high (something like 40 C if its 30 C with humidity above 60%).

These roses can behave nicely in our monsoon. Not sure about extreme temperatures such as in June.

Or in other words you can say bermuda has climate similar to Karachi. For Karachites these roses may prove good.

ahh yes the Jheyt Haarh winds of June,,, when everything seems to go underground...

Is there a rose produced that survives that climate???.....Im thinking maybe the crimson coloured one that is commonly available all over Pakistan and its petals are frequently scattered over graves and celebratory events,,,,, that seems to be the last one to give up.

Do you perhaps by chance know its nomenclature.
