In general the Roses are fed NPK 1-2-1 and amaryllis NPK 2-1-2 .
For Amaryllis use DAP-250gm + Urea-400gm + potassium sulphate-500gm; dissolved in 10 Litters of water, is your stock. Dilute the stock 30 times and water the pots with it, twice a month.
For container soil Coarse river sand 3 parts, Composted leaves 1 part and Coco husk 1 part.
I have used broken bricks size ¼ inch 3 parts, wood shavings 1 part and leaf compost 1 part with very good results.

Arid sahib I know you're the guru of amaryllis. I plan on planting a number of bulbs and I need expert advice. I would prefer them to be in my soil bed and not in pots (I can compromise depending on the advice I get and put them in pots). Will these bulbs be able to take the heat of May and June if I plant them in a soil bed which gets full sun or do I risk losing them? Is it wise to put them in pots and once they give off shoots to plant them in the soil bed? Any amendments in the soil bed? Anything I can do so I don't kill them :S, it'll break my heart and it cost me an arm and a leg!

Don't you worry about heat and humidity when talking about amaryllis bulbs. This is their climate. I am not as convinced about Irises though. You must put iris in semi shade in lahore. only morning sun when march arrives.
