Yesterday saw this amaryllis of cultivar 'Promise' in someone's garden and was astonished to see the size of the bulb having at-least a 5.5 inch diameter. This bulb was planted in ordinary soil and no special treatment was given which may have spurred the thickness of the bulb.

Khurram, I have also observed that the bulbe you do not bother about do much better than the pampered one.

As I have mentioned before my friend Amjad Cheema grows them in pots in common Bhall, he occasionally feeds them, the soil and pots location remains un-changed with admirable results.
