Amaryllis 2014

Many a friends have purchased imported treated bulbs which should be starting to flower by now.
Please keep us up to date as they keep blooming.

Yesterday saw this amaryllis of cultivar 'Promise' in someone's garden and was astonished to see the size of the bulb having at-least a 5.5 inch diameter. This bulb was planted in ordinary soil and no special treatment was given which may have spurred the thickness of the bulb.

Khurram, I have also observed that the bulbe you do not bother about do much better than the pampered one.

As I have mentioned before my friend Amjad Cheema grows them in pots in common Bhall, he occasionally feeds them, the soil and pots location remains un-changed with admirable results.
