Last year I planted lilium bulbs, some in the ground and some in the pots.
They bloomed in November; Some tried to re - bloom in spring.
Those in the ground have vanished; those in the pots have survived as below;

This year I have planted eleven, 14 inch pots with three bulbs in each.
How about your experience of last year’s planting?

Arif sb my liliums bloomed twice last year had them in the ground, last week I dug up one of the bulbs to see if they had survived, the bulb was fine it had reduced in size but there was no growth or any root activity I guess they require chill hours to sprout
Do you think if I take them out and put them in the fridge for a few days would do the trick??

These are Lilliums , iam growing for the last three years, they multiply very fast and blooms here in Spring only, they can with stand summer or atleast bulbs remains alive in soil, if taken out of soil will dry quickly and not recommended. My Lilliums of the last year were naturlized in ground are still sleeping. Good Luck do share the photos Sir.

I opened the small plastic pot and as expected found sprouted and un sprouted bulb-lets. Now they have a bigger pot.
The foliage in other pots may also be of baby bulbs.

This year I purchased 33 bulbs, and planted 3 of a kind in each pot. They already had 3-5 inch growth. The stems of bulbs in 3 pots rotted the remaining are in buds. I opened one of the rotted plants pot and found all 3 bulbs healthy, Let’s see how they behave.
