| Description | It is evergreen, perennial, deciduous and rapidly growing tree which attains the height of 40 feet and form a scattering canopy giving moderate shade. . In Ayurveda and Unani system of treatment P. pinnata plant is used as anti-nociceptive, anti-hyperglycaemics,, anti-lipidoxidative, anti-ulcer, anti-hyperammonic, anti-plasmodial, antidiarrhoeal, CNS depressant activity, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. Its twig is used as chew sticks (maswak) in Pakistan and India. |
